THE IMPLEMENTATION OF PROVISIONS IN SMK MUHAMMADIYAH 1 PRAMBANAN

This study aims to determine the implementation of public relations activities in SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Prambanan seen from the role as communicator and Pembina relationships and any media used in the implementation of public relations activities.
This research use desciptive qualitative approach. Data collection was done by observation, interview and documentation with data source of Principal, Vice Principal of curriculum, Vice Principal of PR and SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Prambanan. Verification of data validity using source and method triangulation techniques. Data analysis used is qualitative analysis with data collection step, data reduction, and conclusion.
The results of the research are: (1) the implementation of public relations at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Prambanan includes: public relations role as communicator to internal public ie students, employees / staff, teachers, and principal conducted through formal meeting and coordination meeting. While the external public are parents of parents, DU / DI, community, Depnaker and PJTKI through student guardian meeting, committee meetings, cooperation with DU / DI, cooperation with Depnaker and PJTKI and the role of public relations as a relationship that is creating relationships both among all residents of schools, communities, DU / DI, Depnaker and PJTKI. In conducting public relations activities are still difficult to obtain cooperation with government agencies for implementation prakerin, establish cooperation with the Ministry of Manpower and PJTKI to obtain information about job vacancies for the graduates SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Prambanan. (2) Media used in conducting public relations activities such as direct communication: Coordination meetings, school committee meetings, pupil meetings, school presentations and dissemination to junior high schools and indirect communication: print media and electronic media, including: brochures, posters, banners (banners), phones, e-mails, and websites. The use of the website has not been fully utilized in updating information.
