EFFECT OF WORK ENVIRONMENT AND WORK MOTIVATION ON EMPLOYEES 'PERFORMANCE IN SLEMAN DISTRICT AND SOCIAL SERVICES.

Abstract

This study aims to determine (1) the influence of the work environment on the performance of Sleman District Manpower and Social Service staff (2) the influence of work motivation on the Employee Performance of the Sleman District Manpower and Social Service Office, (3) The influence of the work environment and work motivation on employee performance Labor and Social Service of Sleman Regency
This study includes causal associative research using a quantitative approach. This research is categorized as survey research, where the research instrument is in the form of interviews and questionnaires. The sample in this study is saturated samples by taking the entire population of employees in the Manpower and Social Service of Sleman regency totaling 76 people. Test the validity of the instrument using Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA), reliability testing using Cronbach Alpha, while data analysis was carried out using multiple linear regression analysis with the help of SPSS software.
The results showed that (1) the work environment had a positive effect on the performance of employees in the Office of Manpower and Social Affairs of Sleman Regency employees β = 0.046. The contribution of the work environment to explain employee performance is equal to (ΔR2) 0.002 (2) Work motivation has a positive effect on the performance of employees in the Labor and Social Service of Sleman Regency β = 0.046. The contribution of motivation to explain the performance of employees is equal to (2R2) 0.002 (3) the work environment and motivation together have a positive effect on the performance of the workforce of the Labor and Social Service of Sleman district β = 0.046 and motivation β = 0.035 Work environment and motivation to explain employee performance of (ΔR2) 0.003.
