THE EFFECT OF VIRTUAL LABORATORY APPLICATION ON
ABILITY OF INVESTIGATION AND LEARNING ACHIEVEMENT
STUDENTS IN CLASS XI IPA SEMESTER 2 MAN II
YOGYAKARTA ACADEMIC YEAR 2017/2018.

This research was an experimental study. The purpose of this study
is to know the difference in investigative abilities and achievements
learn chemistry students who follow learning by using
virtual laboratory-based practicum with students who follow
learning with real laboratory-based practicum.
This research design is true experimental design. Research population
this is all students of class XI IPA 2nd semester MAN II Yogyakarta
2017/2018 school year, totaling 85 students. The sample used
in this study amounted to 56 students. Sampling technique
conducted by purposive sampling. The research instrument is questionnaire and
portfolio sheet to measure investigative skills, while questions
Chemistry learning achievements are used to measure participants' chemistry learning achievements
student Data analysis techniques were carried out by the MANCOVA test.
The results showed that there were no significant differences
on investigative abilities and learning achievement of chemistry between class students
XI IPA in MAN II Yogyakarta in the academic year 2017/2018 who participated in the activity
virtual lab-based practicum with students participating in activities
real lab-based lab.
