EFFECT OF FINANCIAL, GENDER AND ENVIRONMENTAL AWARDS
WORK TOWARDS INTEREST TO BECOME GOVERNMENT ACCOUNTANTS
(Case Study on S1 Accounting Study Program Students of Yogyakarta State University 2014-2015 Force).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of: (1) Financial Award on Interest in becoming a Government Accountant, (2) Gender on Interest in becoming a Government Accountant, (3) Working Environment for Interest in becoming a Government Accountant (4) Financial, Gender and Work Environment Award for Interest in becoming a Government Accountant.
This research includes survey research. The population in this study was 418 students of the Accounting Study Program, Faculty of Economics, Yogyakarta State University. Sampling was 126 using purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques were carried out through questionnaires. Analysis prerequisite tests include normality test, linearity test, multicollinearity test, and heteroscedasticity test. Data analysis techniques using simple linear regression analysis techniques and multiple linear regression analysis.
The results showed: (1) the Financial Award influences the interest of being a Government Accountant, indicated by the regression equation Y = 1,926 + 1,871X1, t count = 10,356 and significance 0,000 and r2 = 0,464. (2) Gender against no effect on interest in becoming a Government Accountant, indicated by the regression equation Y = 23.865 + 0.667X2, t count = 0.671 and significance 0.503 and r2 = 0.004. (3) Work environment influences interest in becoming a Government Accountant, indicated by the regression equation Y = 0.023 + 1.038X3, t count = 23.224 and a significance of 0.000 and r2 = 0.813. (4) Financial, Gender and Work Environment Awards affect the interest of being a Government Accountant, indicated by the regression equation Y = 4,801 + 0,574X1 + 0,514X2 + 0,898X3, F count = 218,316 and significance 0,000 and R2 = 0,843.
