The research design used was a research design from Kemmis and McTaggart conducted in two cycles. The subjects in this study were fourth grade students of SLB Relabhakti I Gamping. Data obtained based on the results of observations, tests, and documentation. Analysis of the data used is descriptive qualitative analysis and quantitative descriptive analysis.
The increase in the ability to read the beginning by using the letter beam media is shown by students being able to identify letters, spell letters, pronounce syllables and pronounce the words as a whole independently. The results of the improvement are indicated by students being able to achieve the minimum completeness criteria, namely 75. This is evidenced by the increase after being given the action. FR subjects obtained a value of 53.96% on the pre-action test, increased to 10.06% by getting a score of 64.02% on the test after action I, and increased by 32.81% by getting a score of 86.77% on the post-cycle action test. II. The use of letter beam media can attract students' attention during learning so students are very enthusiastic to take part in learning. Letter beam media also makes it easier for teachers to deliver material to students.
