ENHANCEMENT OF SKILLS HANDLING OF LIVESTOCK OF CHILDREN TUNAGRAHITA CLASS III THROUGH EXERCISE METHOD AT SLB ABCD TUNAS LOVE DONOHARJO

This study aims to improve self-building skills in lightweight wound care materials in third grade students SLB ABCD Tunas Kasih Donoharjo Sleman. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (PTK).
This study was conducted in two cycles. Data collection techniques use tests, interviews and observation methods. Instruments include capability tests and observation sheets. Data analysis technique using quantitative descriptive analysis. The results obtained during the pre-action show that no student has achieved the Minimum Criteria of Completion (KKM) which is determined, that is 65. After the second cycle, both students have reached KKM with the highest score 75% and the lowest is 68,75%. Self-care skills handling minor injuries increased students because in the process of learning teachers always provide motivation and provide attractive rewards in the form of snacks so that students are more enthusiastic and enthusiastic follow the learning. Based on the results of the values obtained, it can be concluded that the skills of light wound handlers can be improved through the method of training in students tunagrahita mild class III in SLB ABCD Tunas Kasih Donoharjo Ngaglik Sleman Yogyakarta.
