Abstract : Structural research
reef fish communities were conducted in 10 stations on the outer islands and 2
station at Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam marine park. The purpose of research to identify
community structure of reef fish. The method used is belt transect and
visual census within an area of 250 m2. The results showed that 235 were obtained
species of reef fish representing 45 tribes. The composition of species and diversity (H)
vary between stations. The Raya Island has a number of reef fish species and
the lowest species diversity compared to Deer Island and Rondo Island.
The location of Rondo Island is further away from the mainland and has its own type and
a higher diversity than the Greater and Deer Island, but all that
still low when compared to two locations of marine parks, Rinoi and Rubiah.
Ornamental fish commonly found in the waters of Nanggroe Aceh Darusasalam, however
rarely found elsewhere, is of a kind of kepe-kepe like Chaetodon
andamanensis, Chaetodon xanthocephalus, Hemitaurichthys zoster and fish species
antias yellow back, Pseudanthias
evansi. Meanwhile, the individual density per square meter is low
at all research stations.
