ABSTRACT

he purpose of this study is to improve student motivation on accounting by using methods of Peer Lessons equipped with Power Point media in class X Accounting B SMK Wikarya Karanganyar.Penelitian This is a Class Action Research (PTK). The research was carried out in collaboration between the researcher and the accounting teacher in two cycles, each cycle consisting of planning, action implementation, observation and interpretation, and analysis and reflection. The subjects of the study were students of class X of Accounting B of SMK Wikarya Karanganyar, amounting to 28 students. Data collection techniques in this study were conducted through questionnaires, observations, and documentation. Data validity using triangulation technique (method and source). Analysis of this research data using comparative descriptive analysis techniques and qualitative data analysis. Based on the results of research of the use of Peer Lessons method equipped with Power Point media can increase student motivation on accounting learning from pre cycle to cycle I and from cycle I to cycle II. The learning process during pre-cycle is still a one-way lecture and blackboard media so that the percentage of student motivation in learning is only equal to 53.57%. In the first cycle has been used Peer Lessons method equipped with Power Point media although there are 7.14% from 53.57% to 60.71%. Significant improvement seen in the second cycle that has been using Power Point media optimally so as to obtain the result of student's motivation percentage on learning equal to 78,57%. The conclusion of this research is the use of Peer Lessons method equipped with Power Point media able to increase student motivation on accounting learning in class X Accounting B SMK Wikarya Karanganyar. Each cycle consisted of four phases i.e. planning, implementation, observation and interpretation, and reflection. The research was collaborative by the researcher of the Accounting teacher of the school. The subjects of research are the students as many as 28 in Grade X Accounting B of Wikarya Vocational High School of Karanganyar. The data of research were collected through questionnaire, observation, and documentation. The result of research shows that the use of the Power Point media can improve the studentsâ ?? Accounting learning motivation from the pre-treatment through Cycle II. The learning process during the pre-treatment used the one-direction lecture method and blackboard, and the studentsâ ?? Accounting learning motivation was 53.57%. Then, in Cycles I, the learning process used the Peer Lessons with Power Point media. Although there were some weaknesses, the studentsâ ?? Accounting learning motivation increased as much as 7.14% from 53.57% to 60.71%. The significant increase was seen in Cycle II, in which the learning process used the Peer Lessons equipped with Power Point media optimally so that the studentsâ ?? learning motivation percentage become 87.57% in Cycle II.Thus, the use of the Peer Lessons method equipped with the Power Point media can improve the Accounting learning motivation of the students in Grade X Accounting B of Wikarya Vocational High School of Karanganyar.Keywords: Peer Lessons, Power Point, studentsâ ??
